Reinstall Issues

I purchased Norton Security Standard when I purchased my Surface Pro 4 almost a year ago.  A few months ago, I noticed that Norton's alerts and inter-workings just went away.

Recently, I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the product, but am getting the following:

1) when I try to uninstall via Windows App settings, I get a "Windows cannot find 'C;\Program Files (x86)\NortonInstaller\...\instStub.exe' error message

2) when i try to uninstall via the Norton installer I recently downloaded, I get a 'Restart Required  Setup has detected that a previous patch has been completed but requires a restart, please restart to finish installing this version.  I have clicked the provided restart button, which does nothing.

I have restarted my computer a few times over the past few weeks, but this error message doesn't change.  Is there a way to work around either/both of these error messages so I can reinstall Norton?

I am currently running Windows 10 Pro Anniversary Edition, with the most updated patches.

Has anyone had this issue occur to them, what is the best route around this?

Re: Reinstall Issues

Windows 10 needs to be completely restarted for Norton to correctly operate so you may want to try using the Norton Removal Tool, for a more complete removal, as your copy may have become corrupted.

Then download a fresh copy from your Norton Account. After the install, run Live Updates until no more are found, and then restart.

Hello

You may want to use this link to get your program instead.

Please run Live Update until no more updates are available restarting when necessary. Also please make sure your subscription is still valid.

Thanks.
