Removing invalid account to join my Family Account


I made a mistake somewhere during my registration process after clicking the I Accept link in the email from the account my wife created. I now get the following message when I try and log in to the correct account:

Welcome, !

Thank you for accepting the invitation from Antoinette.

Since you are already part of another Norton Family account, you cannot join Antoinette’s family.

Please assist me in resolving this issue?

Welcome to the Norton Community! 

Could you please follow the below instructions and let me know if this solves the problem?

  1. Login into your account (invalid account) 
  2. Go to Parents tab.
  3. Click on the ‘Settings’ icon at the right top of avatar.
  4. Click “Delete My Norton Family Account”, enter the password given for the account.

After successful deletion of the account, you can proceed with the ‘I Accept’ link in the email invitation.
