Renewal

I purchased a Norton Internet Security Renewal and it wont complete the download it completes steps1 &2 when it gets to step three it stops what can i do?

Hi faith46,

Welcome to the Norton Community.

If I understand correctly, you have purchased a Norton Subscription renewal? When you purchase a subscription renewal you do not need to reinstall NIS. Rather, you should simply click on the Renew link at the bottom of the main NIS window and enter the new product key in the box provided and click the play button to the right of the box. If you purchased the subscription renewal from a vendor other than Symantec, please wait until a day or two before your current subscription expires as the subscription period will start over once you enter the new product key.

What version of NIS do you currently have? You can find this from Support > About. If you do not have the latest version we can provide a download link for you to obtain the latest version.

Also, what version of Windows and SP (service pack) do you have and is it 32 or 64 bit?

I really feel lost my Norton services expired yesterday i purchase a renewal and click the download it completes steps 1& 2 but doesn't finish downloading I've tried twice to no avail Norton keeps poping up computer at risk how do I get this problem fixed.On my desk top it says Norton Installation please help me. I'm NOT SURE HOW TO GET BACK TO THE FORUM

Please see your other thread here. Have you tried entering the new product key which you should have received with your subscription renewal purchase?

Since this problem is really directly related to your other thread I am going to ask the moderator to merge the two threads for better visibility.
