I've been looking into upgrading my Sonicwall TZ 105 and was wondering if Norton Core would be a good replacement as far as updating hardware for better security?
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the Sonicwall products dedicated firewall appliances? If so, I'm not sure the Core unit is going to give you the same control, as it is a consumer router.
If after you check the FAQs here you still have questions, post back and I will try to get help.
You're right Peter but with the features in the Core and The Norton Core Security Plus, looks to me to be an easier setup with better protection? At least from what I can find in FAQ, Norton Core Support and this forum.
The TZ105 is no longer produced and has been replaced by a more expensive product that carries expensive subscriptions, basically a router with a lot of software and complicated controls, to me Sonicwall is more about control than protection.
I'll keep reading up, thanks for the help.
I'm sure that if you are using this in a home environment, it will suffice. But if you need the control that the Sonicwall products provide, it may not be enough.
