Restore files deleted by file insight.

Norton File Insight doesn't like the files I download.  Let me be clear, I trust these files, and they usually don't contain anything malicious, but Norton deletes them because they are only being used by "hundreds of norton users."

I know I can disable File Insight all together or exclude folders from its reach, but I still want to have the security it offers against genuine threats.  However, when it does falsely delete something, how do I recover that file without having to disable Norton and download the file again?  I don't see any option in the file insight window for recovering the file.

Re: Restore files deleted by file insight.

Hello Jwilder. Look into your Norton dashboard under "History". In security history where it states "show" select Quarantine. This article may be helpful if the files are still in quarantine.

Cheers

Re: Restore files deleted by file insight.

As included in Soul's link, you have the option to exclude any files and folders you are sure are clean.
