Restored files from backup set won't open; have green check mark

I restored files from a backup set and they all have green check marks on them. Also, about 60% of the files will not open; most are jpg files.

HELP!!

Re: Restored files from backup set won't open; have green check mark

Have you restarted your computer since the restore?

The green check marks are indications that the files are backed up. If you do not want to see those icons, open your Norton Security product and click on Settings. Then on the right side, uncheck the Backup status overlay setting.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Restored files from backup set won't open; have green check mark

I have restarted multiple times; I will update the setting to remove the check. However the issue of many of the jpg files not opening is still there. I get an error that says that jpg is not a recognized format and yet of course I can open any of my other jpg files just fine. Only applies to my restored files...

Try restoring those files again, to a different location. Just create a temporary folder to do this. The try opening those files.
