RISK alert, requires restart

For a month now  I have gotten daily pop-ups "ALERT-RISK REQUIRES RESTART".  I have restarted  2 and 3 times a day and have run Power Eraser several times.  Next day, or an hour later, the Norton Alert box comes up again with the same Restart demand..  All scans I do show "safe" and "all risks handled".   What is the answer to getting rid of this bother.  Is it really indicating a risk?

Re: RISK alert, requires restart

Are you restarting your computer, or shutting down and then starting up again? If the latter, and you use Win 8 or 10, you are not getting a complete shutdown that is required to complete the risk removal.

If you use Windows 8/8.1 or 10, there can be an issue with the Fast Start feature.. See more information here.

If the above does not solve your issue, contact Norton Support via chat and ask for the Virus Protection Promise. Norton techs will remote into your computer and remove any malware that is found.    www.norton.com/chat

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
