Runescape - not considered "gaming"?

I am wanting to block the gaming site Runescape on our pc. Although in the Web Site Settings I've blocked "Gaming", it's still possible to open the Runescape web site. I do not have a password to this game, but it allows me to Click Here to Play, and then it loads the game and takes me to a login screen. Is Runescape considered Gaming? Or is there another type of web content I should disallow instead? Thanks.

Re: Runescape - not considered "gaming"?

Cindi,
Maybe you could just block that individual site instead of worrying about what category it is in.
I'll describe how I would do it but please excuse me if you already know this.
Look in the child's activity report. Look under the web tab. Find the site. Click the two chevrons at the extreme right of that line. Click "block site". Click "update settings" in the bottom right of the item (you must remember this last step otherwise the blocking will not take effect).
These steps should prevent access to the site without which it is impossible to play.

I hope this makes sense.

Cindi,

Just for completeness, what category does it claim that runescape is? You can see this in the activity list.

I would be interested to know.

Thanks,

Matt
