Safe Seach toolbar problems, I need to click on the website twice.

Window 7, Firefox current version.  I have the Safe Search toolbar on my Firefox.  When I type into the search engine, a listing of the websites comes up.  When I go to click on the website, it goes to the top the page, under the norton tool bar engine (not the toolbar).  When I click the website again, I go to the website.

Why do if have to click on the website twice?  My other computer, I don't need to do this.

There could be something amiss with your Norton installation.

Try clicking on Support - Get Support to run  Autofix to check your Norton installation and fix what it finds.

Also, be sure you have run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Safe Seach toolbar problems, I need to click on the website twice.

I followed all of your suggestions.  None of them worked.

You understand me.  I just had a Norton Advisor look at my two different computers, and she didn't see the difference.  I called in my son, and he got me.  He just told me to click the link twice.

Should I be concerned about my computer?  If I had to the website twice, it is a pain, if I click the last choice of webpages.  But, I could do it, if it is a flaw in my computer.

I disabled the Norton safe search on my computer.  When I search for a website on yahoo, I only have to click on the website once!!

There may be some corruption of your Norton product. I would suggest reinstalling your product using the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool.

Download the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool from here   www.norton.com/nrnr
If you use Identity Safe, backup/export your data. Use the CSV format for compatibility.
Run the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool.
Reboot.
Run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.
Try to log into your Identity Safe. If you can, you are done. If not, Import your Identity Safe data.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

I did all of the things you listed.  I don't use to Idenity Safe data.  I manually type in all of my password.

It still doen't work! Good suggestion, though....

Unless someone else comes in with a better suggestion, we may have to have you reinstall again, this time using the Norton Removal tool. This does a more thorough uninstall before reinstalling in case there is some deeper remnant causing trouble.

Download the Norton Removal Tool from here   www.norton.com/nrt
If you use Identity Safe, backup/export your data. Use the CSV format for compatibility.
Uninstall your Norton product with Windows control panel.
Reboot.
Run the Norton Removal Tool.
Reboot.
Log into your Norton Account from here   www.account.norton.com
Click on the Download button beside your current product subscription. This will download and install a preactivated copy of your product.
Run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.
Try to log into your Identity Safe. If you can, you are done. If not, Import your Identity Safe data.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Yes, sometimes I have had to click "login" twice if I want to login without saving the login info.

Are the Firefox versions the same on both computers?

Check back when the next version of Firefox is released.
