Safe web extension disabled Notice
Every time I use my browser Norton opens a tab telling me that the "safe web extension is not enabled" and that I need to enable it. I have NO wish to enable it. However, Norton seems to think I do. How do I stop this? It happens on all my computers. There is no disable this notice check box or anything in settings that I can find. Just a big button saying enable and a whole lot of crap text trying to sell me on why I should use it. Every time it opens the tab on my browser, my computer lags horribly. It even knocks me out of whatever application I am in and brings me to the tab it opened.
I use other parts of the program but will never use the safe web part. Norton has no way of telling the security program that the site I am visiting in the browser is my own site that I am creating and I do not need to be warned, over and over again that it is not listed in their database.
This is a new behavior. The program did not do the pop up before. Just recently started doing it. I have had the safe web extension disabled for years, no issue until lately.
How do I stop the Norton product from opening a Tab in my browser and tell me to enable the extension?
