Safe Web pop up window

Norton Security Safe Web v.22.9.1.12 ( I think it is 2015 version)

Regardless after making a web search using FireFox (v53.00), the little icon that lets you know the safety rating of a website will pop up to be a ridiculously large 3.25"x4.25" green box 2 line report on the web site if my mouse happens to sweep by the little icon

How does one turn that popup off that comes from your safe web? It would be better if we as users had to intentionally click on it first before it opens. Not Hover!

Any suggestions would be great! The pop-up/fly-out is not really needed to open like that and cause distractions and the need to click to close.

Hello

That shows that box when your mouse stops on the little green or red or orange box. If you don't want to see the little Safe Search Annotations, then I would think you should be able to turn off Safe Search. If you want to keep Safe Search on, then don't rest your mouse on the little Annotations.

Thanks.

Re: Safe Web pop up window

These "pop-up" are rather large in my opinion for the amount of information they have. Just blocks the information we are reading.

With my PC I don't even have to "rest over the icon" to have it respond with "pop-up". When mouse incidentally passes over little icon they pop-up

I would prefer to keep the safe search on while browsing, and be able to toggle off or on the save search "pop-up" somehow in preferences. It really does not do much except act like one of those lame advertisements on MSN.

Hello

You can post it as a Product Suggestion. Perhaps they might take it into consideration.

I use Google to search and I don't have that issue. Once I'm on the page, I don't use my mouse unless I want to click on the site or if I want to check the Annotation to see what the it actually says when there is a warning one. That's in relation to what I do in the Forum.

Thanks.

Re: Safe Web pop up window

Both are good ideas.

Use the keyboard to scroll pages. I will think about posting to the products forum. The coding to control the popup and size is probably fairly straight forward
