Scam E-mails

Hi

I been getting a lot of scam emails. Demand money via bitcoin.

Saying they have put virus on my computer and have been watching me. Which they have a problem doing so as i always keep the camera lens  cover at all time. They say my antivirus did not detect malware, but they didn't mention Norton.

I do full security scans every week, and nothing shows up. Do i need to include norton power eraser as well?

Re: Scam E-mails

As long as you have not clicked on anything in the emails, you should be safe. Even if you had, the other layers of Norton's protection would have caught anything malicious.

Power Eraser can be prone to false positives because of it's aggressiveness. Running it might only worry you more, possibly for nothing.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Thanks for your reply. I have read the e-mails but never click on anything with in the emails. I shall in future just delete the emails with out looking at them.
