scan on my android says its safe, I know its wrong

Hi, this is the first time I'm asking a question here, please forgive me if I'm doing it wrong. I downloaded Norton to my Samsung because I keep getting a pop up for a prize. Ran the scan, Norton says everything is fine. Got the pop up again. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Does this pop up come while you are using a browser? If so, what browser are you using? This may just be a malformed ad that is redirecting your browser.

Have you enabled the Web Protection feature of Norton Mobile Security, NMS? And does the browser you are using show in the Protected browser list?

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

I was using the Samsung browser. I downloaded both Norton Mobile & Norton Clean, Samsung Internet is on the list on Norton Mobile. I'm glad I mostly use my laptop, but this is annoying.

Sounds like a browser redirect. They are not blocked by Norton, because man web sites use redirects for legitimate reasons.

Most pop ups like the one you are seeing  are often caused by malformed ads on a web site you are visiting. You could try installing an ad blocker app on your device. That should block ads and stop the pop ups.

Thank you! I'm relieved it's just an obnoxious ad. Was really worried, because I ordered breakfast tacos, was worried about my credit card info being snatched.
