Re: scanning sandisk

Hi Ben,

The forum is for the product of Norton Family, a parental control program.  I'll forward the thread to an appropriate forum for better exposure.

Thanks Katie

Re: scanning sandisk

You cannot scan an MP3 player. Malware and or viruses cannot infect an MP3 player. Hence why you cannot scan it. Just like plugging in your iPhone or Android and trying to scan it.

Re: scanning sandisk

Hi Ben,

The Custom Scan may help you out. To do that, try following the below tips:

If you have NAV (Norton Antivirus) or NIS (Norton Internet Security), click on Scans from Security > choose Custom Scan > hit the Go button > hit Drive Scan > Uncheck the other drives and ensure the target USB drive is still checked. Then click Scan.

If you do not see the USB drive in that list, please check Windows Explorer and check if the USB drive appears there with a drive letter assigned and check that you can access and view the files on the USB drive.

For more info, you may Chat with Norton Support.

Re: scanning sandisk

@ 20750065.....................You cannot scan a MP3 player since it i not a Windows device. You can however scan a USB stick. He is referring to scanning his MP3 player. There is also no reason to scan an MP3 player cause they cannot get infected. If Norton allowed it to be scanned then all he needs to do is right click on the device and select "scan with Norton". No reason to do a custom scan.
