Secure VPN Was Not Connecting

I was definitely frustrated by the many times VPN Secure would not connect. The answer was found on one of the posts made in this VPN Forum, and at the end of Norton's VPN fix for the VPN non connection error. Simply uninstall all WAN miniport files! I uninstalled all of them manually, restarted my WIN 10 machine, and a new box came on letting me knoe VPN was connected. Yea! I checked, and it was on. After restart I checked my Device Manager, and all the WAN Miniport files had been either reinstalled, or replaced.

Re: Secure VPN Was Not Connecting

I'm Norton 360 Secure VPN.   Changing my router Firewall security setting, changing my DNS and reinstall WAN Miniport drivers....helped my "Connection Error"... at different times.

~ related Norton doc, for users that pass this way.

Message: "Connection Error: Secure VPN has experienced a connection failure. Please try again later."

This problem can occur if Norton Secure VPN fails to establish a connection to the VPN server. Make sure that your device is connected to the Internet.

To fix this problem, uninstall and reinstall the WAN Miniport drivers and reset the network adapter settings. If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall Norton.

Uninstall and reinstall WAN Miniport drivers
