Security Considerations When Using Intel Arc GPU with Norton Products?

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased an Intel Arc GPU and I am wondering if there are any specific security considerations or adjustments I need to make when using it alongside Norton products. I have been experiencing some performance-related issues with Norton Internet Security in the past, so I want to make sure that I am taking all necessary precautions to ensure the security of my system.

I have done some research on the topic, but I have not been able to find any clear answers. I would appreciate any suggestions or advice on this matter. Have any of you had experience using an Intel Arc GPU with Norton products? Are there any specific settings or configurations that I should be aware of?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Re: Security Considerations When Using Intel Arc GPU with Norton Products?

Hello. As a matter of the "value" of Intel ARC GPU's they have been notoriously plagued with frame rate, other performance issues from their inception. This is NOT related to any 3rd party software running alongside the OS. They as a default, support "HDCP 2.3"  used for protecting the video content when enabled by the source of the video. And have been plagued by driver issues from the outset. If you are in the gaming venue, purchasing a custom build device I would opt for an AMD GPU IF, other GPU's aren't offered. Lenovo offers their Legion series that would be a more painless fit for gamers.

Any issues you may find which Norton may detect would be related to the above driver quality issues, NOT Norton being the cause.
