sign in required to Vault/ID safe every time

Hi

Every day I have to sign-in, give my account password, then Vault password. Once in, autofill isn't working for any site despite being on in the browsing tab.

This hasn't happened until recently, which might have coincided with clearing browsing history in Chrome.

So is this a Chrome or Norton issue?

I have updated Chrome and checked update for Norton. Both Norton ID safe and Security Toolbar are enabled in Chrome.

Thanks!

Paul

Re: sign in required to Vault/ID safe every time

Norton ID Safe extensions for Chrome and Firefox and Edge, will log you out after an undefined period of activity. This is explained as a security measure. ie If you leave your computer unattended, no one can use your ID Safe to log into any of your protected sites.

There are a number of threads on this issue. At this time, there is no way to adjust this time. Suggestions for a future feature update to allow more control over this timeout have been made and are being considered by Norton.

Hi

This isn't about being logged out after inactivity. This is when logging in. I didn't used to have to go through the full sign-in to my account, i want to be able to just open my vault with my vault password.

Let's see if other users have more suggestions. I only use Local vault, so do not run into the Account login issues.

I use my computer at home with no one else around.  So, I'd like to have the option to control the timeout period.  Where can I make this feature suggestion?

I don't think you need to do anything. As I noted above, other threads with a Norton employee involved have already brought up the need for better control over the logout timeouts. So Norton has put this on our wish list.
