How do I disable the new smart scan feature on my Norton 360?

Is there anyway to get rid of SMART SCAN , which just recently appeared on my Norton 360 . After I did the 3 scans it told me all the things I needed to do to improve the performance of my computer. One thing that really annoyed me is that it reported I have a weak wifi password, and my browsing nd personal history could be visible to others. Well, how in the world does Norton know my wifi password?

Actually the wifi  where I live belongs to another family member. So I can't change it if I wanted too. 

After the 3 scans, I clicked I wanted to fix the problems the scan found, just to see what it would say and GUESS WHAT! I will have to pay Norton $49.95 two times to fix the problems, and I believe most of the problems if not all could be fixed by me, and if I don't know how to fix one of the problems, I can google it and get the answer. I read on this forum where someone asked how smart scan was different from quick scan. Well. I have part of the answer. You don't have to pay extra for quick scan. 

PS: I just did the 3 scans again.  First Scan: No Viruses or Malware Found in all 3 scans I did.                                                                                                                         Second Scan (Network Scan} Same comment in all 3 scans I did concerning weak wifi password.

                                                     Third Scan (Advanced): All kinds of issues , some of which could be solved by clearing browsing history ,( which I do at least once a week) too many items on startup, some app problems using too much memory, etc. 

The first advanced scan reported the above, but the second and third I did in advanced scan reported none of the problems and I did absolutely nothing to correct any of the issues listed the first time I did the advanced scan.

We have released Norton Security 22.21.3.48 with a fix for this issue. Do let us know if this issue still persists. Please note that this is a throttled release. Thanks.

I ran each of the 3 smart scans and then immediately ran them again and then again. How could my computer change on advanced scan in such a short time?

I have the same results as you did Holly. The second and third advanced scans found no issues but the first one did and I did nothing in between to correct any issues.

I think Smart Scan is a marketing tool designed by Norton rather than a needed technical tool since the 3 pieces can be run separately using other Norton software or other third party software. 

Do not know about the password check you mentioned. There might be some commands that bring back password length and that might be part of the criteria for issuing the weak password notification.

Edit: after further research in Windows 10:

1/ Settings

2/ Network and Internet

3/ Network and Sharing Center

4/  Click on your wifi name highlighted in blue

5/ Wireless Properties

6/ Security

7/ Show characters

And there is your password for you or any other program you allow to access your Windows settings. Norton will use length, characters, etc to determine weak or strong.

No. But as long as you do not click on it, it does nothing in the background. Just ignore it. As xjoex suggests, it seems like it is a marketing tool to try to sell other Norton services.

I went through all the above steps but when I got to number 7, Show characters, I didn't see anything that said show characters.
