Softwares blocked by Norton.

Twice now I have gone on chat and on a remote session, a software that I have downloaded called SmartApp which was blocked by Norton, was put back to its tray on the right hand bottom corner and made to function. Now again the SmartApp icon is not showing on the tray. I checked Security > History and it is showing in orange colour as medium severity. How can I overrule the medium severity and allow the SmartApp back on my tray?

I tried to connect to chat and go on a remote session to fix the problem but I am seemed to be blocked by Norton. Can this be fixed?

Re: Softwares blocked by Norton.

Hi. Try going to the UI, Settings/Antivirus/Scans and Risks/ Exclusions / Low Risks, and setting it as an exclusion.

I using Norton Internet Security. I am not that conversant with computer funtions. Could you please send me the guidelines to find "UI, Settings/Antivirus/Scans and Risks/ Exclusions / Low Risks". And how to set it as an exclusion please.

Thank you.

Best regards.

    Hi Mihindu,

UI = User Interface which appears when you open your Norton, and from there you can go to the various settings.

BTW, which NIS version are you using?  UI ˃  Help or Support ˃ About.

    Thanks.
