Solved an old post, I figured out what is breaking my N.I.S.

The original problem is N.I.S. and Identity Safe randomly shut down forcing me to restart the computer.

I finally started noticing what actual program was open when this happens and low and behold it is Outlook 2013. If I disable all office plug ins under N.I.S. settings everything works falwlessly. It ran without problems for a week this last time. SO SYMANTEC ENGINEERS, THERE IS RANDOM BUG WITHIN OUTLOOK 2013 OR N.I.S. THAT IS CAUSING PROBLEMS, YOU SHOULD LOOK INTO IT.

This is an issue that has been reported many times in the forums.

The latest word from Norton is that this has been fixed. See this knowledge base article   https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v84784521_EndUserProfile_en_us

Although the article dated July 17, 2013 says things are fixed, many still report there is still a problem.

Be sure you close all Office applications, including Outlook and run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
