Something wrong after update

I noticed in my history problem with liveupdate. Norton can't install 1 of 4 updates (SONAR update) so I decided to update it again. I have norton update everyday and I don't know why when I clicked on it I had 22 updates that required reboot my pc. After reboot I got information that my firewall and sonar is off, so I turned it on again. Everything seems fine but I don't know why I see in my history NCW submission about eraser64.dll and werconcpl.dll. Also in process list ns.exe changed name to nortonsecurity.exe.

Is there anything suspicious or it's all normal after "big" update?

Re: Something wrong after update

Hello

The 22.12.0.104 changed the name of the Norton Security .exe to the name you mentioned. There is nothing suspicious about that.

I am also seeing eraser 64.dll as missing in NCW. Sometimes there are updates which can't be installed on the first try. When that happens, I just try running Live Update manually and then the problem is usually fixed.

I do remember that there was an issue with eraser 64.dll when Norton first came out with support for 64 bit Windows. There was some issue at that time which required the additions of that dll to the things that had to be fixed so that Norton Security could run 64 bit on it's own. Don't know if it's the same issue resurfacing again or not. I will try and find out . Sorry, I don't know about your other issues.

Have a Good Night and

Thanks.

Hi @greendio,

Thanks for posting in Norton Community Forums. Please let us know if you still see issues with SONAR updates.
