Son disables the countdown

My son is disabling the countdown and lock feature by running a script that terminates the nf.exe and tampmon.exe every half second.

I won't post the script so children cannot use it, but if you want the script I can send it via private message.

Re: Son disables the countdown

Hi ConnorW,

It sounds like the child has Administrative rights for his Windows account. Please give non-administrative rights (limited or restricted) to your child’s user account.  Otherwise,  the kid would have the ability to install/uninstall and different ways to tamper the system.

Thanks

Katie

Re: Son disables the countdown

I would give him non-administrative rights but then he cannot use all of the programs that he needs for school. Is there anything else?

Re: Son disables the countdown

ConnorW,

With administrative rights, the user is pretty much can do anything to temper any systems.  If not by running scripts, they can remove any programs or components of any systems.

Norton Family was designed to monitor children's online activities, and it was also designed to encourage communications between parents and children about online safety.  Norton Family sends alerts online to parent or by email if some features have been disabled.

Thanks

Katie

Thanks Katie
