SONARv2 is detecting Dr.Web CureIt!

One reason could be a randomized file-name, but whatever the reason, it hinders operation.

The homepage for CureIt! can be found here: http://www.freedrweb.com/download+cureit/

It is probably even more true today as in the past due to the growth of heuristic detection of malware and the tamper protection that most good antivirus programs require to prevent malware from interfering with their operation.  Two real-time antivirus programs are likely to have visible conflicts, as well as invisible ones that give you the false idea that both, or either are working properly.

Re: SONARv2 is detecting Dr.Web CureIt!

Just to clear things up a little Dr.Web CureIt is not a realtime AV. Just like the free version of MBAM it is on demand only.  It's not very well known but it's an excellent antimalware app. CureIt is different than MBAM in that it requires no installation, you just download it and run it. After you clean up your PC with it you just delete it because the only way to update it is to go back to the website and download the latest version. It's updated several times a day. DrWeb does offer a realtime AV but it's not free, CureIT is.
