spam emails

I keep getting an email from a "bank" which I don't even have an account with, I did set it as spam, using the NIS spam thing...... for some reason NIS doesn't remove the email, untill I open it......shouldn't it be removed straight away??

Re: spam emails

The email will not be deleted but it should be moved to the Norton Spam folder.  Have you done the training for your email (when the tool bar is first integrated with your email, you get a choice to train it on good email)?  What email client are you using?  And what type of email (POP3, Exchange, SMTP, etc.)?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'do it automatically'; if you mean move the email to the Spam folder, then yes it should do that; if you mean delete it automatically, I don't think so.

On a side note, if you have the update to SP2 for Office2007, then there appears to be some issues with the Spam component in Outlook2007.  I know the Symantec is looking onto these issues and will post a fix as soon as it is tested and meets the quality standards.  Just bear with us for a while; I have the same issues.
