Speed Issue

I have 1Gbps, but when I use Core lately I seem lucky to get around 50Mbps. Plug modem right into PC and I'll get 900+Mbps. Why in the world is my speed so slow when using Core anymore?

Re: Speed Issue

Hello Igglepuff. Firstly too many devices on any network will cheat bandwidth however yours shouldn't be the way it is. Who is your provider and what is the ISP device you are using? Also how do you have Core setup to your ISP device? What DNS settings are you using on Core. Have you considered changing your DNS on the ISP device to CloudFlare 1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1 ? Check your DPI (deep packet inspection) settings on core as well.

First suggestions would be change your DNS settings on your ISP device to CloudFlare values, change your DNS to ISP on Core, rebooting of BOTH your ISP device and Core at the same time. Recheck your speeds from an ethernet connected device for accuracy. Please let us know what you find. I run this setup on my Core without any issues and am with FIOS.

Cheers

Re: Speed Issue

Were you getting higher wireless speeds previously?  If so, what speeds were you getting?

Re: Speed Issue

Hello

Have you tried restarting the Core, NOT resetting the Core?  Is the Core set up correctly? Plugged in correctly? I'm getting 145/155 MB with FiOS and my modem-router is not bridged. I do have high speed FIOS.

Have a Nice Day and

Thanks.
