Still no support for Microsoft Edge

You've closed previous threads about this, but it needs to be addressed:  Microsoft Edge is the default browser in Windows 10, and after almost a year of having full extension support, your error messages still claim to parents who don't know better that extensions aren't supported, and most importantly, you still don't have an Edge extension.  That's a huge problem.

It's obvious that the team and development budget for Norton Family has been significantly reduced in recent years, but these kinds of things cannot be shrugged off year after year if you want to retain paying customers.  Please be sure the management team sees this feedback, and let's see a fix for this issue rather than the promise of one.

Re: Still no support for Microsoft Edge

JitterBox Thanks for the feedback regarding Norton Family. The confusion from the consumer standpoint is that Norton can just create an extension of its own that will force the Edge browser to become usable with NF. That unfortunately is not the case. With Windows 10 it is Microsoft that holds control over what extensions they will allow to run inside this new browser since it is coded so deeply into the operating system, Cortana and other features. Therefore a "fix" from Norton isn't the solution consumers should be looking for. Rather an update from Microsoft that will allow a new extension from Norton to install and run. You can give Microsoft your product suggestions here: https://wpdev.uservoice.com/forums/257854-microsoft-edge-developer/suggestions/15241830-at-least-allow-norton-extensions

There is one option for you in Windows 10 to change your default browser if it is currently Edge or use another browser: https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v113672388_EndUserProfile_en_us

Re: Still no support for Microsoft Edge

I am not a fan of Windows Family or free services but I might just have to go back there or another competitor if Norton can't get accepted to support the Microsoft default web browser

Re: Still no support for Microsoft Edge

Hi amdear

We are looking out options to support Microsoft Edge.  We will let you know once this is available.
BTW, all HTTP related sites will still be monitored by Norton Family on any browser (including Microsoft Edge).  Only for Https related sites, we will need the extension.

Re: Still no support for Microsoft Edge

Thank you for the reassurance on HTTP monitoring.  I look forward to embedded native Norton extension in Microsoft Edge.
