Stop removing Norton360 and NortonFamily by a 9 year.

Hello,

I have a question about Norton360 and Norton family on a android tablet. Can you have two accounts on the tablet?
I think he has setup two account perhaps admin and another account.

My son 9year  removes Norton. How can I stop this? I don't want to have child account because you run into so many
problems, but at the same time I don't want any acces to any porn or other websites that are not for kid 9 years old.

How do I setup things so I have full acess he can't remove or turn things off.

NF should be installed as follows:

And yes, your son's account should NOT be the only account on the device and its should be NON-ADMIN.

For N360 get the appropriate app from the web store and install it for Norton 360. Activate it with the license for N360 from your Norton account and your N360 subscription.

I have asked your post be moved to the Norton Family forum board where Family users are more likely to see and help.

Hello. The issue you are seeing is simply due to the account "type" your child has on the tablet. They may also know your password as the administrator, thus removing the account. Please have a look at this article and this article, for assistance with accounts, specifically under the area labeled " Types of user profiles". The key things are, preventing your child from accessing the admin account login, AND, forcing a restart of the device so they can bypass the software that is preventing them from using it the way they want. Please keep in mind there are limits to what supervision software can do on any given platform.

Hello and thanks so much. Can you also have different accounts on a kids LenovoTab (android)? like you have on windows.
Example Admin and user account? There's currently his own account. On his account, I have installed Norton Family parent control and also norton 360. Is this incorrect what I'm trying to do :-) ? Or would I need to add a new account (MY wifes account and install the Norton family and norton account on her account so he can't remove it. is this how I should set it up? if so can I remove norton fam+norton360 from my kids account on the tablet? Hope this helps. He has also created 3 more other accounts because things didn't work like the streaming to TV from youtube. Is there a way he can't start creating more accounts. Is this when he has a user account and not a admin acount like he is limted?

Yes!! The child should have a restricted NON ADMIN account on every device they are using. They also need to never know or have access to the admin account and its password.

Thanks so much for the info. Do you install NortonFamily Parent control and Norton 360 on the Admin account on the tablet?  So there can be two accounts and my son's account can be set to NON-Admin?

My son also keeps turning off the NortonFamily browser extension (in Chrome) on his PC (windows11) is there way he could be turning this off? And can I stop this? or hide it? that he turns it off if this is the case? I just did a quick test and it appears if he turns this of (norton extension) in the browser. Pornwebsite will still show up. It can't be the case that 9 year old can go into his browser turn off the Norton extension and nothing blocks any more.  Is that correct or is there some otherway i can stop him turning it off?

C. Spruyt. Your son should have a NON-ADMIN local account, he should also NOT be signing into the computer with a Microsoft account and its credentials.
