I have been subscribed to Product Update Announcementsfor
for some time. In the last few weeks I have been getting product announcements in French rather than English. I fallow the link in my account and get English ones so how do I get back to ones I can understand with out having r=to work out what they are about?

As I posted in the other thead, the English post usually comes out first, then the translations usually come out within a few days.
They are the same announcements, just translated.

I'm sorry that not whats going on, I just had 7 non English updates for a number of product's and no English one for weeks.

I got 7 e-mails this morning and none in English.
Who is the idiot at Norton that did this. If they can't get this right how can I trust them to protect my systems.

I agree, after being told a version that isn't what I am experiencing, i.e. English, fallowed up with translations a few days latter NOT being what I get makes me even more worried!

Just an FYI. The forum software is not written by or managed by Norton/Symantec. So any worries about the programmers involved is unfounded.
And I also said above that the English announcement usually comes out first. Some of the non English announcements this morning actually seemed to be for older version updates. It appears the non English translations of earlier English announcements had not been posted, and someone is catching up.

Add me to the list. I received a bunch of them this morning I believe in German but no English. Have also gotten them in Spanish over the last week or so.

How does one unsubscribe from the product update notices?
You can unsubscribe from the product announcements by clicking on Unsubscribe a the bottom of any announcement.
Just remember this will unsubscribe you from all product announcements. Not just the non English announcements.

I have been experiencing the same thing as everyone else for weeks now. Since it started there have been times when I only received the updates in a language other than English, the only language I speak. Today I received 11 emails all sent between 2:05 am and 11:15 am. Only the last two at 11:13 and 11:15 were in English. As far as I am concerned the rest of them are junk emails. I really want to be subscribed to the product updates but don't want to receive a dozen emails each time new things come out. I sure hope there are plans in the works to correct this issue.

As you can see from the screenshot of my Inbox, the subject line in each email is in English, so I basically had to take the time to open all 11 of them before finding the two that were in English. Please fix this Symantec. I've also just now noticed after posting screen shots of the opening of each emails that they are all dated between Jan. 18 and Jan. 21 and yet they all arrived between 2:05 am and 11:15 am today, Jan. 21st.

I think this issue would be fixed by having some one in the USA doing this job. The time zone showing up would indicate that someone out of the USA time zones is doing this job. I am not complaining about having non-American's doing work, but in this case it seems to be affecting USA people getting the Announcements that have already been translated from out of English. Perhaps, now English is considered one of the translations now if a non-English person is doing the work instead. This is just a guess on my part and doesn't represent anything officially.

The product announcement system looks broken. I just ran live update and had a large patch (well over 100MB so a new version size). I now have 22.16.4.15 no sign of a announcement and no e-mail of any language.
