SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL REFUND

I have tried so hard to find the way to get a refund for the following product:

Norton™ 360 Standard Subscription Renewal (1 Year Subscription)

This is incredibly unfair to take people's money and then make it impossible to find out how to process a refund. 

This is my notice which is within 60 days of you charging me for a product I want a refund for, and I am complying with below terms:

'You may cancel your subscription contract and request a refund, under the below terms. Upon cancellation, you must uninstall and delete all copies of the software from your device(s).
Annual subscriptions
 (one-year term or more):

  • Under our 60-day Money Back Guarantee, the purchase of an annual subscription is eligible for a full refund, if requested within 60-days of the date of purchase.

  • Each annual renewal is also eligible for a full refund, if requested within 60-days of being charged.

  • The purchase of a Norton Ultimate Help Desk 1-device or a Privacy Monitor Assistant annual subscription is eligible for a full refund, if requested within 60-days of the date of purchase, or in the case of an annual renewal, within 60-days of being charged, provided that in either case services have not yet been redeemed.'

I would like to see a refund please, and confirmation that this will be processed asap.

This is not the right place to ask for a refund as the folks here are regular users just like you.

You need to contact Norton support and I know how difficult that can be for many people including myself at times but chat or phone is the only way to process your request.

Thank you for you reply.

I have already used Chat and Phone and I asked the agent (who failed to fix the problem when he took remote control of my PC) to arrange a refund but none of these actions worked because their modus operandi is to frustrate rather than refund.  It is simply impossible to to communicate with them when you want them to provide a refund.  Using this method, there is proof that all avenues have been tried and failed.  Therefore, it forms a sound legal basis upon which to obtain a refund.  My primary option is to ask my cerdit card company to reverse the charge on the grounds that the supplier refuses to honour their own Terms and Conditions.  Naturally, they will want evidence of what I have attempted and a copy of these communications form part of the evidence.

Try support again. The agent you were dealing with seemed to be focused on trying to fix things. A different agent will probably look on things differently if your first request is for the refund.

As noted, that is the only way to get a refund, as no one in the forums has access to Account information.

Norton Community does not have access to your Norton account, subscription details nor payment method.  

  • Norton sends (for annually recurring subscriptions) email notice (with price, term, and related details) usually about 30-45 days before current term expire. 
  • Users report Norton pulls recurring subscription payment usually about 30-45 days before current term expire. 
  • Users report not being able to change Automatic Renewal Service setting about 30-45 days before current term expire. 

Norton Community does not have access to your Norton account, subscription details nor payment method. 
Please Contact Norton Support regarding your subscription/refund.

A few minutes ago I received a phone call from Norton and they agreed to provide me with a full refund. 

Clearly Norton do examine comments on this Community Forum and have taken the prudent action of contacting me directly to arrange a refund.

I am now satisfied that my refund has been approved

Nothing can stop spam/scams from being sent to your email inbox. All you can do is filter out the obvious spam using a spam filter. Norton's Anti Spam feature can help you with that. And FYI. It is not just fake Norton emails, but also McAfee and Microsoft and probably some other large corporations that have their names attached to scammer's emails.  You can check the email sender against this information. Is this email from Norton legitimate?
