Suggestions

I have a few suggestions

1. Bring ad blocking into Norton Safe Web and/or the VPN not just ad tracking. similar to Ublock origin

2. Bring back call blocking in the mobile app.

3. Norton Utilities registry defragmentation.

Re: Suggestions

Some good ideas and maybe your post should be moved to product suggestion forum.

I am not sure what you mean by registry defragmentation. But you might be implying deleting obsolete registry entries.

Re: Suggestions

I definitely miss call blocking on Android.

The Norton app used to block all calls not in my contacts and send those to voicemail without ringing. That was exactly what I wanted and used happily for some time.

Why such a great feature was removed is a mystery to me. Everything else I have tried pales in comparison whether by Samsung, Verizon or any other app. I know Apple does this but I am not sure why Android cannot.

Re: Suggestions

Call blocking was removed as it duplicated a feature Google already provided.

The Norton Product Announcement is here.    https://community.norton.com/en/blogs/product-update-announcements/end-a...

Re: Suggestions

Ok let me rephrase block non contacts that would go straight to voicemail. Android doesn't do that natively. Norton's mobile app did. Its just too bad they removed it.

Re: Suggestions

KV,

Yes I agree.

All other apps and preinstalled call blocking do not work at all like Norton Mobile Security did back when (before November ?). The native app in Android is to block anonymous calls but I still receive calls from non contacts. I think it only blocks calls with no caller ID which is useless these days when that can be forged by anyone.
