SymPlatform_Mac_NS

I am running Norton Antivirus for Mac 8.7.4 build 40 on an iMac 27” with OS 12.2.1.

About 4 days ago I started getting “Fix” warnings. I run the fix and it says up to date and done but then reverts to the fix warning. I have run it several times over the past days with no change.

When I check the Activity History, it says SymPlatform_Mac_NS. I see that 16 times yesterday and 19 times the day before.

How can I correct this situation?

Re: SymPlatform_Mac_NS

After I sent that last message, I was going to run the fix again and found that the fix warning was gone. I haven't been using my computer all evening so I don't know when or how it went away. There was nothing new in the Activity history since this afternoon. Not sure why it lasted for 4-5 days before going away but at least it's gone.

I've asked this thread be moved to the Mac forum board for better exposure..

Have you restarted your computer after running the fix?

I have done several restarts but they had no effect. The fix warning does not go away.
