Please look in the folder ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter. There should be some files beginning with SymUIAgent in there. Please attach one or two of those files here on the forums so we can take a look.
It might be an overinstall issue—several people have had problems with overinstalling on 10.5 for some reason.

Somehow your computer is missing an important file. This might have been an installer problem, or perhaps a file as trashed by mistake.
Please follow the instructions here:
Scroll down to the section "Download and run RemoveSymantecMacFiles". This will instruct you to use a script to remove all your Norton programs. You can then re-install and it should be fine.
