Syncronising

Help please.

I have a laptop on which i have outlook 2016 email for reading / managing my yahoo emails.

I also have an ipad where i can also read / manage my emails.

If i delete unwanted emails on my ipad they sync with my laptop and are deleted

Conversely, when i delete emails on my ipad they are NOT deleted from my laptop - synchronisation problem - i have tried much effort to resolve but failed.

is this a norton problem? i think not.

You seem to be saying the same thing here. Are you saying that when you delete emails from your laptop they are not deleted from the iPad?

Usually the only way this can work between devices is if you have IMAP email set up on your email provider. Are you using IMAP or POP servers from Yahoo?

If i delete unwanted emails on my ipad they sync ok with my laptop and are also deleted from my laptop

If I delete unwanted emails on my laptop they do not sync with ipad and hence are not deleted from my ipad automatically

Are you saying that when you delete emails from your laptop they are not deleted from the iPad? Correct

i am using POP servers from Yahoo

Re: Syncronising

There is no synchronization between devices using a POP server. What you are probably seeing is that the first device to check the email deletes an email. Then when the other device connects to your email account that email is no longer there. It has nothing to do with the individual devices syncing.

If you want true syncing, you need to set up IMAP if Yahoo offers it.
