System infected., and subscription

I registered the product  and will expire Dec 2012 isnt there a fee for a year subscription? 

my computer had a virus and it fixed 121 risks, but now says system infected "Tidserv Activity 2" severity high,  and gives me 4 steps to do, but I dont know how to complete, like #4 " Submit suspected files to symantec for analysis"? Help   Thanks

Glad you asked for help -- hang on since there are some real experienced people here.

To get you the best advice, would you give us some more information about your system:

What version of Windows are you using including Service Packs and whether 32 bit or 64 bit as well as the Name and Version ID of the Norton product that you are using -- Help or Support / About is where that is, in the format of nn.nn.nn.nnn where n is a number.

If you get any error messages please give the exact wording of them as well as any other background that could be helpful. 

Please also say what internet browser you are using -- name and version number ...

It's usually not possible to install a security application when you are badly infected -- are you sure that you managed to download and install a genuine Norton application? I ask since there are some scams about ....

And unless you subscribed (bought) when you registered and entered a key it would not normally show an expiry date as far ahead and you would be on a short free trial. Where did you get the product from and was it on a disk or did you download it?
