System restore won't complete
On 1-18-19 my scheduled full scan completed as usual with 1.3 million items scanned and about 12,000 items skipped. The next day (1-19-19) a suspicious pop up came up and and said it was Norton and I needed to download updates. The address bar was odd and the color of the screen a little off so I didn't click on the link. I shut down and rebooted. I then started a full scan manually and then Norton Security only scanned about 500,000 items and skipped about as many, but didn't find any problems. I contacted Norton support and he had me download and run Norton Power Eraser. It said there was a registry problem to fix so i let it fix it. I did another full scan but it still only scanned about half the files it should. I started NPE again and this time it again said the registry plus an individual file needed to be fixed. As a last resort I decided to go back to a WIN10 restore point of 1-16-19 which was before the full scan problem. But the system restore would not complete because of something with Norton. See attached print screen of System Restore message. Was there a problem with a Norton update that could have caused this? I've seen that in the past.
Any help would be appreciated
