Is there a list of the files that do not restore that can be saved or printed when using ARestore.

I ran ARestore.exe to restore a backup to a new disk after a disk failure.  It ran fine and most files restored correctly.  But many files did not.  They appeared in a window but I could not save or print the window.  Is there a way to save or print the files that did not restore and the reasons why?

Check this thread where another user was able to access the backed up files on an external drive after the backup set had been deleted from the 360 product.   https://community.norton.com/en/forums/how-delete-n360-backup-set-files-...   The same information about trying to access the backup set using Windows Explorer might help you see the folders and files in the backup set. If you can find your files, you should be able to create a list you can print.

Not that I know of. ARestore should be able to restore every file that is in the backup set. Are you having some difficulty with restoring some files?

Yes.  There were several hundred out of about 18,000 that did not restore. They were shown in a window the contents of which could be viewed my moving the thumb up and down but which could not be saved or printed other than with Snip and Sketch or the like.  And even then the window was not big enough to show the whole file name and could not be resized.

Thanks for responding

Where are your backups stored? In Norton's cloud, or locally on an external drive?

Is there a reason you are using ARestore rather than the restore feature of the Backup in 360?

The backup is stored on an external hard drive.  The regular Norton couldn't find it and I found instructions on using ARestore on the Norton website using a google search.  Would the normal restore have produced a list that I could save or print?

Thanks for your response.
