Is there a way to mine for bitcoins with NiceHash without Norton blocking it every few days?

I leave my PC on when away from home to mine for bitcoins using NiceHash. Every so often, Norton decides to flag if as a different type of intrusion. Is there any way to mine without Norton going nuts? I need to turn off intrusion protection for this, but would like to leave it on. Specifying program files or directories to ignore does not seem to work.

Have you excluded the files/folders from BOTH the detections in the image below?

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Yes, thank you, I have. But this only affects the anti virus scan. The problem is that it blocks internet access because it thinks there is an intrusion. I can disable intrusion prevention, but I would rather not. Instead I allowed all signatures with "coinminer". This is a temporary workaround until there is a new signature that gets added during an update which is enabled by default. I have teamviewer installed to remotely connect to my PC and deal with it on the road, but it should be easier to deal with, like a program or directory exclusion just like the anti virus section.

What specific detection is being reported? A screenshot would be a great help here.
