Threat Actions How to ignore perminately

Hi having used previous versions of Norton Anti-virus I have always had the option to ignore a threat file perminately so it is does not trigger an alert on the particular file again. On NIS the only option is to delete the file, how do I ignore a file as files such as andriod ROMs are getting flagged as high threats which they clearly are not.

Re: Threat Actions How to ignore perminately

Hi zathrusuk,

Goto Settings->Computer->Antivirus and SONAR Exclusions->Items to exclude from Scans->Configure->Add, and select the file/folder/disk that needs to be excluded.

This will exclude the disk / folder / files that you have just added from scans. But Auto-Protect, SONAR and Download Intelligence Detection will still be able to detect the threat.

So to fully exclude it from all types of detections add it to 'Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect,SONAR, and Download Intelligence Detection' as well.Go to Settings->Computer->Antivirus and SONAR Exclusions->Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect,SONAR, and Download Intelligence Detection->Configure->Add & add the file.

Thanks,

Saranya
