Re: time

Hi Parent,

You asked: "is the time spent per day time on internet or is it time logged on computer?"

It's the time spent on the computer.  You have two options to track the time spent on the PC.

1. Count the total amount of time XXX is logged onto the computer

2. Count only the amount of time XXX actively uses the compute

You can find the two options at Settings -> Time.

Re: time

How fast is time updated? I logged on to computer for a while and no time seemed to log on time schedule.  Where do you check time and date.  i am wondering if i am a day off because kid shows time on computer but leaves early morning and shows no internet access during that time.  I also have time blocked when it shows time on computer. I just want to make sure this is working correctly because i dont see why kid would be on computer at the time specified and no record of him being on internet.  Time should be blocked anyway?

Re: time

Parent,

You can see the internet activities, for example, Web activities at Activity -> Web.   The Time Activity shows the information when the daily time limit reached and sign in time, etc.

You said "why kid would be on computer at the time specified and no record of him being on internet", do you mean you don't see any records at Activity -> Web?

Did the child log onto the PC with a Windows account that's being monitored?  For details on how the account should be associated with a profile online, please check out the link below.

Re: time

I have it set up so he has to log on to open windows.  Computer boots up and ask for password.  It shows he was on computer but I go to internet activity and it shows nothing for that day.  I have it blocked for overnight usage so I have to assume kid is not on internet(no activity show in activity-web. So is it a safe assumption that he is logged on computer but not on internet? Kid leaves for school at 6:00am and internet is blocked till 6:00am but it shows time on computer for that morning.
