Time Calendar shows no activity; time limits not in force

My son has a daily limit set for computer use, but recently the computer is not imposing limits and the time calendar incorrectly shows no computer use at all.

We have already checked the location on Norton and our computers, but this didn't correct anything.

Re: Time Calendar shows no activity; time limits not in force

Hi zippyhat,

Can you please

1. Go to the kid's House Rules page in your Norton Family online account, XXX’S HOUSE RULES and make sure Time Supervision is turned On?

2. Make sure under Supervision level: High: Blocked from using this device is selected for this device, PC?

3. Login to the PC as the monitored child and try to visit a forbidden website, do you get blocked?

If Yes to 1, 2, & 3, please send me your Norton Family account email by private message via the forum by clicking Inbox at upper right hand corner.

Thanks

Katie

Re: Time Calendar shows no activity; time limits not in force

I am having identical issues. I am not using or referring to the mobile app and all PCs are using Windows 10 x64. My child's websites get blocked no problem, I get the email too. However his cut off times do not stop him from using the PC, I cannot see his activity or YouTube videos. He is using the most recent build of Chrome and the Norton Family plugin is not disabled.

I also cannot add another parent to my account for the life of me, my wife follows the steps provided in the email and it just winds up creating her own Norton Family account instead.

Please advise.

Note: I have been having a lot of issues with this product since purchasing it, and it seems like there are dozens of threads on very similar issues.

Hi Jerry L.

You said "I cannot see his activity...".  I assume you are referring to Web activity logs, right?

Just FYI... The issue you described is different from the previous user in the thread as the user don't see forbidden websites get blocked.  It's very possible that the child's profile is not associated with his account in devices correctly.  I'm in the process working with the user by private message.

I've received your private message.  Can you also please let us know your wife's email, so we can check into the invited parent issue.

Lastly, please make sure you have latest Norton Family Windows client 3.6.3.24 on the PC.  To find if you have the latest version, please click the Norton Family icon in the system tray and select “About Norton Family”.

Thanks

Katie
