Time limit

What is the exact definition of time, as far as "time limits" are concerned, on devices monitored by Norton Family? Is it active time using an online application, eg an online game or actively using a browser?

Also, I have receveid a time limit email for one device a few minutes ago and my child was not blocked, although that's the profile setup. He was watching a movie on YouTube and he can still watch it, no interruption.

Thanks.

Re: Time limit

Hi Francois,

For Norton Family for Android, time supervision monitors if any app is in foreground and the screen is not locked.

For Norton Family for Windows, time supervision counts the time when the machine is active.  To answer your questions, it's active when using online app, like online game or actively using a browser.

For the time limit email, was the child using a Windows or Android device?

Thanks

Katie

Re: Time limit

Hi Katie,

He was using a Windows machine. I will see how things go over the next few days. For the time being, he is mostly using Firefox with the (activated) Norton Family plugin.

Thank you.
