Time limits and time curfews do not work

My children can log in to their accounts at any time, even during times when it should be locked. I have the time limits set to 1 hour. They get a 15 min warning and the get as many 1 min warnings as they want. It is not locking them out after multiple warnings. I have passwords set up on their accounts, but that doesn't slow them down much. They have been on for 30 extra min before I caught on.  And they can log in during curfew hours and still get the same 1 min warning.

I checked to make sure I have the latest version. I have wind 7 and chrome and ie 8.

I do not like the idea of giving them 3 warnings as I read on some other posts, but I would take 3 over unlimited at this point.

Any Advice?

Hi aawtagg,

You mentioned "I checked to make sure I have the latest version..." I assume you are refering to Norton Safety Minder. Can you please let us know the version number of the Norton Safety Minder on the machine? Also, What Operating System is running on the machine, ex, XP?

Thanks,

Katie

Re: Time limits and time curfews do not work

aawtagg,

I tested the part you mentioned "get as many 1 min warnings as they want...." during curfew time. What happened to me was I received three warnings and each of them allowed me to stay on the PC for 1 extra minute. After the third time, I received a blocked screen asking me to enter email and password.

After that, I tried to log onto my account again, after a few seconds (NOT a minute), my screen was blocked and I would have to enter email and password again to be able to use the PC. Is it what happening to your PC? How many times do you get extra 1 minute (NOT a few seconds)?

Thanks,

Katie

Thanks Katie
