'Time Restriction Reached' email received at strange times

"....has reached 11:30 PM curfew and access to DESKTOP-_Win10 has been blocked"....Sometimes I receive this email notification at times other than the specified time. Latest one was received on the next day 13:11. Does that mean the system clock was manually changed to evade  blockage? If the system clock is changed shall I get any notification? Is it possible to restrict the change of system clock? Is there any other way they can bypass time restrictions?

Thanks.

Re: 'Time Restriction Reached' email received at strange times

Hi samiul

We have checked our backend systems and we noticed that 'Time Restriction Reached' notification has been delayed couple of times for you account.
One was on Dec 12th and another on Dec 30th.  Any Activity/Alerts generated from the child device are designed to be sent every 5 minutes, so there is a possibility that if your child had logged off/switched off the PC just after the 'Time Restriction' alert, then the generated alert log will be posted to the server when the device becomes active next time.  Since it has happened only twice, we thought the above could be the possibility.  If you notice this more often, please get back to us, so that we can investigate further.

Hi samiul

Norton Family will send notification when there are 'System Time' or Timezone changes on the device.  Norton Family will block TimeZone changes and reverts back to the original timezone, whereas 'System Time' changes can't be restricted for an Admin user.

Is your child's windows account a Standard User or an Administrator?  We recommend you to provide a Standard user account so that they won't be able to change the 'System Time' (requires admin permission).  However they can change the TimeZone, but as mentioned above it will be restricted.

Please check the system datetime settings on your child device and revert for any further clarifications.

Thanks Suyambu! When admin user changes time, does norton Family send notification? Can there be any other reason (other than admin user changing time) for ‘time restriction reached’ email to be delivered at a later time?

Hi samiul

Yes, you will receive a notification when admin user changes the 'System Time' (Provided the respective admin user is being monitored by Norton Family). With respect to the delay in delivering emails, we will check our backend systems and get back with our findings.
