Time Spent On Device and Apps shows nothing.

Hi there, I can not see any information regarding my daughters app usage or time on the device. When I look at the usage screen it does not show anything and the last date is the 6th June and today it is 14th. I have attached an image of this.

Please let us the following

1. Is the device an android device?  If so, what what version of Norton Family is running on the machine?  To find the version number,  please go to your Android device, click Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> Norton Family. 

2. What version of Android is running on the tablet?  To determine what version is running on your device, select Apps > Settings > About phone or About tablet.

3. Have you ever seen any time logs since using the program?

4. If you try to visit an forbidden website as the child on the device, do you get blocked?

5. Can you please send me your Norton Family account email address by private message via the forum by clicking Inbox at upper right hand corner?

Thank you for the reply. Here are the answers to your questions.

Yes for some strange reason, it shows some time for Sunday (1/2 hour) and Today (Tuesday). It skipped yesterday (Monday). This is the first time it has ever shown anything, but the times are a lot less than she has used it.

Yes is does block websites.

Nothing is showing under apps. "No activity for Last 7 Days" even though my daughter is using it.

Hi Ixtwin,

Regarding time usage is not visible

  1. In the child device, on opening Norton Family, is the rule “You have hours usage limit on this device today” available?  On click of this rule, does it show the remaining time left?
  2. Are you able to see other activities like Web, App in the portal during the period where the time usage is not visible?
  3. Does the device is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data during the period when the time usage was not visible?
  4. Did you/child see any error message from NF during this time period?

From our records, it seems the device did not have internet/data connection for the days. So NF was not able to post activities. Please confirm if that is the case.

I am also facing the same issue on my desktop where there are three user id's. One is admin and the other two are that of kids. After 20th June I am not able to see the anything in the activity for the kids. Infact they have been using the computer everyday for an hour. In the month of June I use to get an email if the computer is used beyond an hour but now I don't receive any email. I receive only a weekly report which is blank. Please note that the site blocking works fine but I don't receive any email for that too. Request you to please fix this issue as it whole purpose of installing the Norton family is not being met.

OS- Window 7 Ultimate

Hi rkarvi,

Are you able to see Web Activity logs (the websites they visited or get blocked from) at Activity -> Web?

Can you please uninstall/reinstall Norton Family to see that helps?

Please note that I am not able to see any kind of activity in the reports. However will try to uninstall and re-install Norton family and will check the results.
