How do you selection Florida Eastern Time Zone/Savings Time

This S/W: Norton Product (not in selection list): Norton Antivirus Plus and VPN

Time zone selection is clumsy.  I reside in Florida USA and there are no regions in the selection list that come close.  All selections are in the far north from here and in countries outside US.

Re: time zone setting

Hello. The product currently offered as Norton Antivirus Plus is for one device and doesn't include the VPN feature as show in this Norton website:

https://us.norton.com/products/norton-360-antivirus-plus

Where did you purchase and did you purchase the antivirus separately from the VPN? Just looking for a bit of clarification to assist better. My product doesn't have any time zone settings so I cannot provide a direct answer. The closest time zone setting for a global setup should be North America - New York City which would put you on EST.

Re: time zone setting

SA - I was a decades-long Kaspersky Total Security User.  Never, ever had a problem.  Recently I had a few questions I tried to enter in on their forum - but could not log in.  I tried repeatedly over a few days to no avail.  Tried calling their 1-866 number - no one answered, nothing, Zilch.  Trouble?

I figured under the current 'situation' they might have closed down announced.

I did a rapid search through CNET and a few other sites and saw Norton rated as good as Kaspersky.  I immediately signed into Norton.com and was offered Norton AV Plus which included the VPN feature.  Then deleted my KTotal.  Just today I contacted my internet provider to see if VPN would work through their system - "good to go!!"  I logged into VPN and began reading through the forum about a few of the Norton hiccups involved; there appear to be more than a few.

Unless Norton is pulling a fast one, and I have been sucked into something I'll soon regret, I think now I'm safe.

You have now raised my suspicions, however.

Now the Time Zone Selection issue.  In my version of Norton AntiVirus Plus with VPN, the list of selections is gobbledygook.  Nothing in that list says New York or Eastern Time Zone or anything close - but there are several locations north of here that have UTC notations.  I understand UTC but that doesn't represent an area where, like here, where we use EST and DST.

Hope all this answers your questions.

Mexico -

No.  Not close enough.  Consider EST vs DST.

Re: time zone setting

Actually, I'm confused about the time zone bit in that, my Norton products have never asked for it when setting it up, nor has the N360 VPN. Unless something within the Norton installer has changed, I don't recall seeing any posts where others have had this issue either. FWIW!! I've never used the stand alone VPN so I cannot attest to that. As previously stated your stated product doesn't include a built in VPN. The VPN is offered as a package beginning with the Norton 360 Standard package. This site is where you should have landed at when you purchased:  https://us.norton.com/

A screenshot of what you are actually seeing would be immensely helpful.

Re: time zone setting

SA -

Look, I am not here to post some phony perhaps even a misunderstanding of a peculiar issue.  I am here to resolve a problem.  Frankly and respectfully, if you work for, and get paid by Norton, you should ask them!  BTW:  There are posted Norton forums that relate to this same problem - go look again.

Perhaps I should do a google search and find a real solution - and not a controversy.  But I simply don't have the time; EST, DST, or otherwise . . .

Bowing out. I cannot see what you see without a little information from your end other than conjecture. FYI!! I don't work for Norton, I donate my time. Good luck with your solution. @Gayathri_R

Re: time zone setting

I too have not seen a time zone setting in any of Norton's products. If needed, they would rely on the Windows time settings.

Well, I'll address Time Zone Selection with someone at Norton.
