tiworker.exe Norton insight can't give information on this file

Hello Norton Community

I was just looking in my Norton Insight and I was going through each one of the things you can choose for example trusted files untrused files e.t.c

Intill I went to highest start up impact and I came across tiworker.exe I Googled it and from what I've seen it is something already on Windows If I wasn't to look onto the Norton Insight then I would of never of noticed this file so I don't think it's a big problem but I would just like someone to reasure me.

But the thing that worries me is that when I click it says 'file not found or information is not available for this file format'

and it also gives me the choice to qurantine the item.

Should I be concerned about this file or is it considered worrysome?

Would just like someone to clear this up.

Thanks

Hi,AudiA1. tiworker.exe is a legiimate Windows file.

This link will give you some info on it.

As sometimes malware can disguise itself as a legitimate file, running a full scan should set your mind at rest.

Re: tiworker.exe Norton insight can't give information on this file

Hello F4E
Thanks for the response I did a scan today before coming along this and I had no threats found. When I go back on my computer I will probably run another scan anyway.
I've just got one more question. Why is it coming up in the Norton insight and there's no information on it apart from it being medium for start up impact and there's no flag to say if it's good or not?

Thanks for the help!

Re: tiworker.exe Norton insight can't give information on this file

Hello F4E

I have taken your advice and ran a full system scan with Norton 360

I have had no threats found do you think I should just ignore this file coming up in Norton insight even though it's weird why it's there?

Also I haven't had tracking cookies come up in my scan for a few days is that anything to be concerned with?

Thank you for your help!

Hi, AudiA1. Given that your full scan came up with no threats, I'd be inclined to relax, and forget about tracking cookies.
