Received Toolbar 2015.2.1.5 rebootless patch Firefox 37
It wasn't just for Firefox.
I'm curious what changed or is this in preparation for Firefox 38.0 due out next Tuesday.
I noticed Toolbar version change in Firefox. So, presumed FF
as Chrome updates come thru Chrome webstore and IE updates are seldom...
waiting for announcement
Aha...if you find out what's up....let us know.
I tried updating Chrome Norton Toolbar = no change (yet)...
If you noticed a version change, perhaps you didn't have the right version previously. The important thing has anything improved?
Um, I had the version as advertized in the latest un-edited FF announcement. And the version # I have now is higher than the version # in the announcement. So, what else to presume other than an update.
Firefox changed from .3 to .5 on my machines. IE was so rusty. I had to pry it open to find .5...
I've asked for a confirmation from Mohan who writes the blogs about version change being reported when there shouldn't have been any. I should find out more on Tuesday I assume. Since I don't use Firefox, I can only go by what I see in threads and what I see from another place.
It also changed in Internet Explorer.
Sorry for the confusions.
I just updated the announcement with the correct version number. The version 2015.2.1.5 was released when 188.8.131.52 patch was posted (April 7th).
Yesterday's patch was a 'Product Improvement patch' (Product Backend patch) and does not change any version numbers in the Toolbar or Product User Interface.
Hello bjm and SGFC
Thank you for bringing the version number issue to our attention so that I could confirm with Mohan about the inconsistency of version numbers. I do hope that users of Firefox will see some improvements with the toolbar enabled. So far it has been given out for version 22 and 20 and 21 versions should get it shortly..
Firefox 37.0.2 says up to date with Norton Toolbar 2014.7.12.7! Repeated runs of live update give no change NIS version 184.108.40.206 On Vista Ultimate SP2 & Win 8.1 How can I get an update Please!!!!!!!!!!!
Please read the Announcement ....for v21 the Toolbar is 2014.7.12.7
Norton Internet Security, Norton 360 & Comcast Norton Security Suite 220.127.116.11
Norton Toolbar: 2014.7.12.7
I'm running v22 so the Toolbar # starts with 2015. You're running v21 so the Toolbar # starts with 2014
Yeah, there was an error on the Announcement re 2015...
So, as you have the current version....all I know re 'crash' is that others have reported. I think there are 'open crash' n' 'close crash'https://community.norton.com/en/forums/firefox-3702-crashes-nisnorton-toolbar
