tradeadexchange virus

Hello All,

I have got this stupid virus called TradeadExchange, yet I am doing full scan with my NIS 360 but cannot find it.

I have tried many other antivirus and malware clearners but couldn't get rid of it.

I am trying the norton power ereaser, but after the restarting of the computer (as NPE is telling me to do so), I have its icon on my startup bar (it is running) but i cannot open the window.

when i click on the icon, it is not responding, when i check the ctrl+alt+del i see that it is running.

what shall i do?

why norton internet security is weak about this virus.

Re: tradeadexchange virus

Firstly, please do NOT try any 'quick fixes' or to solve this yourself.

It sounds like it's time to sign up for assistance from one of the free malware removal sites.  Please pick one and stay with them until your system is clean.

Re: tradeadexchange virus

Come on guys, We need Norton to Protect us from such unwanted programs on our computers.

how many FREE malware removal tools shall we install to our computer to get rid of it?

Re: tradeadexchange virus

It is not a tool but my suggestion was to visit qualified malware removal forums that would work with you one on one until your machine is cleaned.  No one anti-virus program can block or remove 100% of threats 100% of the time  TradeExchange is most likely considered a PUP / PUA (Potentially Unwanted Program / Application) rather than real malware.  Norton concentrates on real malware and some people willing choose to install PUPs.  If you don't want to take my advice, don't!

Good luck.

PS:  You don't need the bold font to get your message across.

Re: tradeadexchange virus

Sorry It is a habbit to write in bold letters, no intention to get the messages across. If it was i think i would bold the first message.

I don't know if you have ever faced this tradead thing, but it completely takes the control of your web surfing.

Most of the pages running with Java(especially) or Flash, is useless with this virus. Because you cannot click on anything.

The slides of the webpages (such as news, or any other) is not working, you are only seing the first slide.

Even the banking pages are affected. once you try to do online banking, you find yourself looking at an ad about economics or so.

then you feel the fear, if my info was stolen?

and much more.

Therefore the advices to go there, check this, go there and ask etc. are sometimes annoying for a person who has been trying to find a solution for about a month.

and I feel the right to ask Norton (not any other free or pay malware, anti-virus tools) to protect me. And when it doesn't I feel the right to write in the forums the problem i face and expect a solution through my norton.

thank you for your kind advices, but google is full of it...

1. @floplot: Would you please help forward this thread to Cops?

 Web site category

  • Dr.Web: not recommended site
  • Websense ThreatSeeker: advertisements

tradeadexchange dot com has been flagged as a malicious domain by Fortinet, according to this VT file.

TIA

2. @AUCNN: The said domain has also been known as a stubborn browser hijacker, according to the following img from Google.

Then, personally, try restoring your browser configurations to their factory values, only when you've exported or saved yr personal data like yr bookmarks. Then check, restore yr system hosts if the problem continues.

Search tradeadexchange (IP = 104.197.47.161) related items thoroughly, including the hidden items. Re-read this comment for more tips.

Report this site to GoDaddy@ https://supportcenter.godaddy.com/AbuseReport?ci=

That been mentioned, U had better learn how to protect your computer from the said term PUP, as such an annoying tradeadexchange redirection could be frequently installed through some aggressive adware powered setup file/ downloader. Meantime... you may learn sth from the following case studies:

Last but not least:

Norton just can not satisfy all of its users. See more case studies below:

Coming back to your annoyance:

  • Have you ever received any warning alert from your Norton client? Just BTW.
  • Have you ever contacted the official Norton Support?

PS: Please stay always beware of those FAKE Norton phone callS: https://community.norton.com/en/forums/scam-telephone-calls-norton

PPS: It is an interesting question to ask here:

How many FREE malware removal tools shall we install to our computer to get rid of it (badware)?

Re: tradeadexchange virus

What is Norton Virus Protection Promise?

Many Norton offerings come with an additional benefit called the Norton Virus Protection Promise, which includes access to Norton experts who can work with you to diagnose and remove viruses should you run into any problems during your subscription. In the unlikely event that Symantec is unable to remove a virus from your device, you may be entitled to a refund of the Norton subscription or Norton bundle (as applicable).

Re: tradeadexchange virus

I guess this virus thing is copying itself to your google account or so.

I now downloaded opera and didn't sign in to my google account.

Norton technician connected to my computer and cleaned everything, then i signed in again and it came back :)

now i try to stay away from my google account on the new browser.

thanks to you all guys..

Re: tradeadexchange virus

@AUCNN: Logging into or using yr Google Account can lead your local computer system to be infected? Personally, that does make no sense...

Something successfully triggered the download or re-creation of that trojan horse, according to yr comment above. Would you please re-contact Norton Support again?

Good luck.

Re: tradeadexchange virus

This is the only solution i found my friend.

Because the Norton Technician fixed everything, then i connected to the internet. there was nothing until i sign into the google account.

I've been checking the solutions for this matter for a long time, and i remember reading an article about this.

now i have opera browser, in which i didn't sign in my accounts. and it works fine. no diverting :)

Re: tradeadexchange virus

Hello AUCNN

Please stop over at one of the free malware removal sites and have them check your computer and finish cleaning out the malware. Just go to one of the free sites that Krusty 13 posted in his site. They do not remote in so you have to run scans so they can see what is in your computer. They may ask you to run some programs to clean up any left over malware if there is any. Once they see that your computer is totally clean and safe, they will tell you how to delete any programs that they may have had you download and install temporarily.

Thanks.
