Turn off vault questioning to go cloud

I have the latest copy of norton internet security with backup.  Is there a setting that can be changed so it stops asking me if I want to convert my vault to the cloud?  I don't want to and it keeps asking.  Thanks.

No, unfortunately. That's Norton's way of nagging you to go cloud. Just keep saying no.

Re: Turn off vault questioning to go cloud

IIRC - I got the nag screen on a regular basis for a short period of time (maybe a week), when I first installed NSBU.

I have had NSBU installed since the middle of Dec 2014 and I have been receiving the nag screen once a month after the initial period of nagging.

Bottom line is that if will not go away as F4E stated - but it will cut down on the frequency of nagging you!

I expect to see it and really smile to myself as I refuse!

I've never had to deal with the "flock of nags" syndrome - it would certainly be interesting learn the circumstances of its causation.

I usually get a single nag prompt commensurate with a Liveupdate that pushes a product patch that subsequently triggers the "apply patch" prompt.  The rest of the time it stays silent (for me, fortunately)...

But when they do occur, like Yank, I also take a certain delight in telling it "No Thanks..."

Hi John - look familiar?

Admittedly this is from when I upgrade to V 21, but I do believe NSBU throws the same nag screen. I believe it is only present if you have a Local Vault - which I do believe you do.

The following one is the one I get about once a month.

Hi Yank - They certainly do look familiar -

Commensurate with the rare LU Patch prompt occasions, it's the latter (2nd image) prompt that I get.

I (also) received the former (1st image) prompt when I upgraded from NIS to NSwB a few months ago, but only the onetime occurrence...

Cheers!

Yes this has annoyed me to the point of finding new security software in 84 days after years of Symantec. This isnt free software that comes with the expectation of money making tactics and nag schemes. I despise these ad/money making tactics - like Apple's Newsstand which was my motive for leaving iPhone.
