Two new start tasks after update to 22.12.1.14 Version: Norton Security Error Analyzer and Norton Security Error Processor. What are they doing?

I have version 22.12.1.14 running on my Windows 10 Pro x64 machines, no issues noted. Although the two processes you have visible are not present on any of them. I would remove and reinstall your product so you will have the version prior to the latest release. I too have no issues noted on my Win7 x64 and all my previous tasks are still present and working. I'd only want to know what are the two new Norton tasks doing.  The two processes I have visible are also present on the task hvgsel after image .https://community.norton.com/en/comment/7839611#comment-7839611.

P.S.: The NR&R tool cannot be the only solution for all the Norton problems...

I don't think those tasks are new to v22.12.1.14.  I'm still on v22.12.0.104 and my Vista SP2 Task Scheduler has similar tasks scheduled for SymErr.exe (Symantec Error Reporting).  It looks like the last time this task ran on my computer was the morning of 03-Feb-2018, which is the same day I ran a test of AutoFix (Help | Get Support) and posted my results for you over in the thread Norton Security 22.12.0.104.

I'm not certain, but SymErr.exe might also be a shared component used by Norton Community Watch (Settings | Administrative Settings | Norton Community Watch | Detailed Data Error Collection, which I've disabled on my machine).  See Symantec employee maverick786's old 2012 post about this executable in the thread symerr.exe.
